Accountability & Support Mentor
(PReviously called Case Manager)
Hours: 10–15 hours/week
Location: Selah Place, Elmwood (Winnipeg)
Selah Place is a Christ-centered home for mothers and their children. We are seeking a Support & Accountability Mentor to walk alongside moms through mentorship, discipleship, and accountability.
Role Overview:
The Support & Accountability Mentor meets one-on-one with each mom to encourage spiritual and personal growth, provide accountability, and help set and achieve practical goals. This is not a clinical or social work role—it is highly relational, grounded in faith, and focused on modeling Christ’s love while supporting moms as they build stable and healthy homes.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet regularly with moms for discipleship, prayer, and encouragement
Provide accountability in daily life, parenting, and spiritual growth
Assist in goal setting and tracking progress toward personal and family goals
Support moms in navigating challenges and celebrate victories together
Communicate with the Selah team to ensure consistent care and support
Qualifications:
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for discipleship
Strong listening, encouragement, and accountability skills
Ability to build trust and walk alongside women with grace and truth
No social work degree required — a heart for mentorship is most important

Child Minder & Support
Hours: 5–8 hours/week
Location: Selah Place, Elmwood (Winnipeg)
Selah Place is a Christ-centered home for mothers and their children. We are seeking a Child Minder & Support to help provide safe and nurturing care for children while moms attend classes and programs.
Role Overview
The Child Minder creates a safe, welcoming environment for children on Tuesday mornings/early afternoons while moms are in class, and occasionally on Thursdays when volunteers are unavailable. This role also includes accompanying moms with new babies to pre-arranged appointments, such as doctor visits or EIA, helping them feel supported as they navigate important steps for their family.
Key Responsibilities
Provide child minding on Tuesdays (10:30–2:30, including lunch)
Occasionally provide coverage on Thursdays (1:00–2:30)
Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities
Ensure a safe, caring, and positive environment
Accompany moms to pre-arranged appointments (using Selah’s van, not your personal vehicle)
Support the Selah team by assisting moms with young children when needed
Qualifications
A caring, patient, and dependable personality
Experience with children (infants and toddlers especially)
Ability to provide a safe and positive environment for children
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to serve families
